Platform-Specific Compliance Disclosure
(Apple App Store & Google Play)

Last updated: 14th April 2025

Overview

This document outlines how CleanCents complies with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines and Google Play Developer Policies for digital products, in-app purchases, and environmental impact content.

Payment & In-App Purchases

CleanCents uses Apple In-App Purchases (IAP), Google Play Billing, and Stripe for transactions. All purchases of digital content—including CleanCents tokens, offset certificates, and subscriptions—must be completed using these approved systems.

Users will see pricing clearly displayed before completing any transaction. Apple and Google users are charged through their respective store accounts.

Nature of Digital Goods

CleanCents tokens and offset certificates are symbolic, non-refundable digital products. They are not considered currency, financial instruments, or real-world redeemable goods.

All offset contributions support certified environmental projects and are executed in partnership with verified third-party providers such as CarbonMark and Toucan Protocol.

Refund Policy Statement (Platform Disclosure)

All purchases are final. Users acknowledge and agree that:

• Offset certificates are retired upon purchase and cannot be reversed.

• CleanCents tokens are symbolic and have no cash or exchange value.

• No refunds are provided for CleanCents purchases or environmental contributions.

Apple and Google may manage refund requests independently under their own policies, but CleanCents does not support or facilitate them directly.

Compliance with Guidelines

CleanCents ensures compliance with all applicable developer guidelines, including:

• Apple App Store: Guidelines 3.1.1 (IAP), 5.1.1 (Data Collection and Use), 5.2.1 (Intellectual Property), and 5.2.5 (Environmental Claims).

• Google Play: Payments Policy, Families Policy, and Environmental Marketing Guidelines.

No misleading claims about environmental impact or financial returns are made.

Environmental Claims and Certification

All environmental projects listed within the CleanCents platform are certified by internationally recognized standards such as Verra (VCS) and Gold Standard.

Impact metrics shown in the app are derived from publicly available, independently audited project data.
